The Body Shop Strawberry Eau De Toilette - Review

Hey lovelies.today i am going to share a review on my favourite and yummiest scent Strawberry Eau De Toilette.I bought this perfume 4 years ago as my bestie's bday present, it's mouth watering strawberry scent made me fall in love with it and afterwards i had to get one for myself and since than it is one of my favourites.Well you can call me a strawberry maniac because no matter how hard i try i can not resist anything strawberry.can you??

Its mouth-watering scent is combined with energetic citrus and delicate floral with underlying notes of sandalwood and musk. This fragrance offers a delicious intensity

Fragrance Notes

 

Top notes: red currant, wild strawberry and red apple

Middle notes: fruity notes, flowers and wild strawberry

Base notes: nectarine, musk,sandalwood, vanilla and wild strawberry.

 

 

 

My thought

i think the scent is sweet and strong without being overpowering yet refreshing in way that will make you hold on to it.the smell is perfect for the spring and summer season to freshen up the mood.its not exactly like the fresh strawberries, its more like a strawberry syrup but smells better and strong.its so yummilicious i keep sniffing the lid only to fall in love with it again and again.

i must tell its not a formal kind of scent so most of the people won't like it but if you are a strawberry lover like me you will fall in love with it. i like to wear it in daytime after shower,the smell stays for 5-6 hours which is expected from the TBS fragrances, but when i combine this scents with strawberry shower gel and strawberry body butter it lasts longer, almost for 12 hours. 

the EDT comes in simple red coloured bottle with a golden lid and beautiful writing on the front.the bottle contains 60ml of the product.the Strawberry EDT was a limited edition but i can still find it in Pakistan while in UK and USA it was discontinued but in 2012 it was relaunched in USA in a smaller size 30ml along with other fruity smell EDT .e.g Coconut EDT, Mango EDT, Pink Grape Fruit EDT etc.Well i m wondering how would it be like having the mango and coconut perfume so i am most probably gonna buy them but it will have to wait as i have already many scents to use.

Te Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain "01 Rose Pink"

Product Description

This dual-purpose stain gives lips and cheeks a healthy-looking glow with one wash of color, or builds up for a richer, deeper coverage. A great base for lip products. Its moisturizing formulation helps to condition the skin. Dermatologically tested.

My thought

the stain comes in a transparent plastic tube with a doe foot applicator the tube contains 8ml of the product.in the tube the color appears bright red but on application its a pretty rosy pink color and the consistency is gel like.

for the application, dab the lips and cheeks with the applicator then blend with the fingertips but this way the fingers get stained with the same color.on the application is feels sticky until it gets dry and the application is very uneven on my lips, my upper lip always get less stained even if i do two coats on it.though, The Body Shop claims it being moisturising, its not at all moisturising and make my lips appear cracked and dry even if i exfoliate before applying this.the staying power is not what i imagined, it stays for 4 hours and fades unevenly which is very irritating for me.

i don't like it as a lip stain but worked well as a cheek stain for me though.it gives a natural rosy pink color to the cheeks.i just apply little amount of it on the cheeks and blend it quickly not giving time to set otherwise it leaves a stain on the spot where i applied it.as far as the staying power is concerned it stays for 3 hours.

i really like The Body Shop's products but this one didn't live upto my expectations.m pretty much disappointed and won't repurchase it

My thought

i love this foundation and its my 6th or 7th bottle of this i do use other foundation but can't leave this..got a permanent place in my makeup collection..this was my first liquid foundation before this i used to have cake foundations..i had this fear that liquid foundations won't suit me as my skin is sensitive and will appear cakey on me but then i came across this one when i swatched it felt so light weight that i decided to give it a try.

i have a combination skin and my complexion is light to medium.i have got this foundation in 03 which matches my skin tone.foundation comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a nozzle pump to squeeze out the product the bottle contains 30ml of the product.i like the packing its simple and perfect.

the formula is very light weight it blends effortlessly and gives a perfect smooth and dewy finish, i always love the glowing effect i get whenever i wear this foundation.gives light to medium coverage but you can always build it up for more coverage, this being so light weight doesn't appear cakey or blotchy and doesn't break out.most of the foundations feel heavy on skin when layered for the coverage but its not the case with this one.it completely gets absorbed in the skin and keep it hydrated for hours.the staying power is also very good it lasts upto 8 hours.
i cant put my finger on the scent of the foundation but whatever it is i don't like it.

the foundation contains marula oil which is well known for its skin hydrating benefits and it also help in anti-ageing.the SPF helps to protect from UV rays, most of the people think that the foundations that contain SPF give washed out effect in photographs when flash is used.SPF contains light reflecting particle that when flash is used give brightening effect.but i don't have any problem with this it does give some brightening effect when flash is used but i don't get completely washed out effect as most of the people complain with SPF foundation.i find this brightening effect good for the pictures :)
it also contain beeswax and Vitamin C .the beeswax acts as a barrier that helps to seal in moisture and helps to keep product texture consistent when used over time.Vitamin C helps to fight free radical damage and brightens skin, leaving it looking radiant

the foundation is a treat for the people having skin problems.

• best for normal to dry skin

Cons

• strange smell

otherwise i couldnt find anything to hate...

What do the 'Top', 'Heart' and 'Base' categories mean?

Heart or Middle Notes: Shortly after application, the top notes give way to the heart notes. These are usually floral, as most fruity notes are too light for this layer. These middle notes make up the core perfume as it sits on the skin, and it is these layers that define the ultimate dry down, when the perfume settles on to the skin.

 

 

Base notes: The base notes determine how long a fragrance will last, and provide a background on which the heart notes can be appreciated. My thought

LOVE ETC was the love at first smell :) actually i went to TBS outlet to purchase the LOVE ETC solid perfume as i read some great reviews about the perfume and at that time i wanted to have something to carry in my handbag instead of bodysprays.i never tried solid perfumes so i wanted to try that one but when i went there the salesgirl told me about the liquid LOVE ETC perfumes and insisted on trying their liquid range and i did :) The moment i smelled the perfume i knew i had to buy this sooner or later. at that time i was confused wether to buy the liquid perfume rightaway or should buy the solid one, then salesgirl told me that the solid one last for only 2 to 3 hours but the liquid one lasts longer and also the smell of the liquid was way much better than the solid one.she showed me the cute little purse spary of LOVE ETC in 10ml which was cute enough to convince me into buying.i was in love with it and i knew this little bottle will last me for only one month and i had to have the bigger one so after some time also purchased the bigger one in 100ml

 

i always find strong smells very offending so i prefer sweet ,floral and fruity smells. this smell is  very refreshing, sweet, inoffensive, romantic and yummylicious its not too strong and not too light and kind of every day scent.its a perfect combination of floral and fruity, i mostly smell vanilla and jasmine in it.i have only one issue with the smell which is same for all the body shop perfume is that their smell does not last as long as the other high end perfumes ,they only last for 5 to 6 hours but still i like these perfumes.

 

the purse spary comes in a cute little glass bottle with golden cap and contains 10ml of the product the packaging is cute and colorfull. the price is same as the solid one but smell and staying power is much better.the perfume comes in different sizes 10ml, 30ml, 100ml.the 100ml comes in a big fat glass bottle with a simple packaging.

the love etc range also have Eau de toillete, body butters. shower gels and body lotions.

 

 

Pros:

• combination of floral and fruity
• sweet and simple everyday smell
• travel freindly

 

Cons:

• doesn't lasts as long as other high end perfumes

My Thought

i didnt have any experience with body butters before. i dont like body lotions so i thought why not use body butter instead so i gave it a try and i am not regretting my decision it really is a feast for the skin.i stumbled upon this while i was surfing body shops website, it is best known for their body butters.these body butters come in 31 different scents and coconut body butter in one of the best sellers.

 

the butter comes in a brown colored plastic tub in 200ml and 50 ml, i have got 200ml.the first thing which made me fall in love with this butter is the divine coconut scent, its very strong and overpowering it lingers on the body for a very long time you might not need any other scent or perfume.this might be its downfall as the scent of the butter overpowers or get mixed with the perfume if you are wearing any .i dont use any other scent when i use this, sometimes i put on body shops EDT strawberry with this and i smell like coconut and strawberries (really like it :)).

 

the butter is thick in the tub but when apply it melts on the skin and leaves it felling soft.it is an amazing moiusturizer it hydrates the skin and does not feel greasy and sticky( i really hate the sticky feeling of any cream and lotion but thank God this is not the case with this one).it works better when used after shower.highly recommended for normal to dry skin

 

i am definately going to repurchase it :)
